I have realized more and more
that I choose to be with a man who is confident enough in himself to
step back & let me shine. He is not going to compete for the
spotlight or the microphone: he's no wimp either. He has his own
thing going. But he doesn't play the fool or try to steal the show.
He does make me laugh...at life's beautiful absurdities. But he sees
me in my domain and is beamingly proud of all that I have created. He
feels lucky to be a part of it. I know he is worthy of my affection,
time, love and attention because he is secure enough in himself to be
an equal and a lover and partner and friend. He believes in marriage
and family and holds no bitterness or cynicism towards those
endeavors. He has moved fully from boy to man yet still fathers his
own inner boy. He is all that I am: wise, kind, generous, playful,
intelligent, funny and passionate. And together? We are a
gentlepowerful force of love. Beloved, we look at the same moon. Our
someday is arriving. I don't know when or where. But I already know
your heart.
